Dear Parents, Guardians, and Players,

Starting July 6th , the CIAC is allowing all sports teams to begin workouts under strict guidelines.   The rules are designed to ensure a safe return to interscholastic athletics.  All activities will focus on the reconditioning of the athlete.  Skills will also be integrated into the workouts. These sessions will take place on a voluntary basis, and no athlete will be punished in any way if they choose not to attend.

Below are the highlights of the plan:

  • All athletes must be up to date with their physical with a copy on file in the school’s medical office.
  • All parents/ guardians must fill out and sign a permission slip in order for their child to participate.
  • All athletes will be screened upon arrival by the coach.
  • If the athlete does not feel well, please keep them home.
  • All activities must be done outdoors
  • All equipment must be cleaned after each workout
  • Workouts will be conducted in cohorts of 5-10 players.
  • All athletes must remain a minimum of 6 feet apart from each other.
  • Cohorts will not meet more than three times per week.
  • Work outs will not exceed 60 minutes.
  • No physical contact such as high fives, fist bumps, or hugs are allowed.
  • Athletes must bring their own water bottle.  Water bottles cannot be shared.
