The award is presented annually at the Rotary Club Scholar Athlete Luncheon. Alyssa was a 4 year member of the girls hockey and lacrosse teamsshe assisted in the Unified Sport teams, and she also participated inDecca and was a member of theNational Honor Society. She will be attending the University of Rhode Island in the fall.
Pictured above is WHHS Cameron Stone & Jordan Brereton accepting the SCC Scholar Athlete Award for the month of March from the AD, Jon Capone. Cameron has an overall GPA of 3.7 and is the captain and a 4 year member of the baseball team.He will be attending Stony Brook University. Jordan’s GPA is 4.0 and has been a 4 year member of the soccer, hockey and lacrosse (captain) teams. She will be attending either St. Lawrence Universityor Providence College.
Pictured above is WHHS Senior Basketball player, Jayva Johnson who became the 6thplayer in school history to score 1000 points in her career.
She accomplished this on January 24, 2013 in a victory over Jon Law High School. Pictured with her is head coach Jim Eagan, who presented who with the game ball, her dad Keith and mom Sharon.
Pictured above is the WHHS Cheerleading Competition Squad, who recently competed at Hofstra University and received 1stplace in their division. The team will now move on to Florida and compete in the National Competition in February.
