Grading Policies
AP Chemistry

Grading Policy

The quarter grades in AP Chemistry will be based on a combination of tests, quizzes, labs, special projects, homework, and class participation.  The weighting of each category is given below:

            Tests & Projects …………………………………….80 – 100 points

            Labs……………………………………………………….30 – 100 points

            Quizzes…………………………………………………..30 – 70 points

            Homework……………………………………………..10 – 30 points

It is expected that all assignments be handed in when due.  Late submissions will be accepted, but will be subject to a reduced grade.

There will be minimal opportunities throughout the year for students to receive extra credit.  If you choose not to participate, that is your decision.  No “last ditch” extra credit assignments will be given to students who do not fulfill the class requirements.
