West Haven High School Swimming Pool
The West Haven High School pool is an 800-seat, six-lane, 25-yard pool, with a dive pool which features two diving boards. The pool also has a new Daktronics timing system, along with touch pads.
In 2000, the pool was renovated. Renovations included:
Deepening the lap pool for the start blocks
New lighting in pool area
New ceiling
New bleachers
New filters and chemical computers
New boilers
New timing and scoring system
New roof
The pool is the home of the West Haven High School Blue Devils girls' and boys' swimming and diving teams. The pool is also used by WHHS physical education classes, as well as by the Park-Rec Wizards swim team. Park-Rec holds open swim, swimming lesson and pool parties.
