Graduation will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 4:00pm at Ken Strong Stadium. We are just under two weeks away from this milestone so be sure to mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate the Class of 2026. In the event of inclement weather on the original date of Thursday, June 18th, graduation will be moved to Friday, June 19th at 4:00pm 🎓
West Haven High School Theatre Workshop attended the Halo Awards at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Friday, May 29. The team had an incredible night earning three major honors, including Best Stage Management for Almost, Maine, Best Specialty Ensemble for Footloose, and Best Contemporary Play for Almost, Maine. We are also proud to celebrate four students who received scholarships to Dance Molinari in NYC: Savannah Criscuolo, Luciana Gagliardi, Lia Powers, and Zienna Ziada. 🎭🏆✨
The West Haven Retired Teachers Association recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to two West Haven High School students in support of their continued education. Scholarship recipients are Nate Charron and Sofia Bongiorni-Nucci 🎓👏

Last night we honored the West Haven High School Varsity and Unified Basketball State Champion teams at a special dinner where athletes, coaches, staff, family, and friends gathered to reflect on an incredible season. Special guests Mayor Dorinda Borer and guest speaker Kermit Carolina were in attendance to help celebrate the teams’ achievements. Athletes from both teams received plaques, certificates from the mayor’s office, state championship apparel, and will receive their championship rings once completed. Congratulations again to both teams, this night was well deserved after all your hard work this season 🏀💙
A special morning at West Haven High School as new members were officially inducted into the National Honor Society. The annual candle lighting ceremony highlighted the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Junior members took the oath, received their certificates, and were formally welcomed into the society, while senior members were presented with a pin to wear at graduation in recognition of their continued commitment. A meaningful celebration of achievement, responsibility, and excellence. 🏫🎓
WHHS hosted its annual Fine Arts Night last evening, giving guests the chance to admire student artwork created throughout the year along with several outstanding student performances. It was a fun and memorable night celebrating the creativity and talent of our students. Great job to everyone involved! 🎨✨

Congratulations to the students recognized at the 2026 Honors Cord Award Ceremony at WHHS! Students earned this distinction through consistent academic excellence in Honors and AP courses throughout their high school careers. The gold honors cord will be proudly worn at graduation on June 18th. 🎓

A special breakfast was held at West River Hall to honor the Top 20 students from West Haven High School for their outstanding academic achievements and dedication throughout their high school careers. During the event, students reflected on meaningful memories from their time at West Haven High School while also sharing their plans for the future, including where they will be attending college and the areas of study they hope to pursue. We are incredibly proud of everything these students have accomplished and look forward to seeing all they achieve in the future 🎓💙🤍
