Important Notice: Due to the half day scheduled for staff development and the prospect of more snow tomorrow, all West Haven Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. This will give the city additional time to clean bus stops and plow roads for those who are still snowed in. With this decision, we expect a full day of school on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.

The West Haven High School Technology Student Association and VEX Robotics Club competed last week at the VEX Qualifier at the University of New Haven, finishing in the middle of the pack after months of hard work since September. With 25 students involved this season and 12 competing, the team showcased strong teamwork and positive energy. Now, they shift their focus to building remote underwater vehicles for the upcoming SeaPerch regional competition 🤖🌊

Carrigan students welcomed a special visit from the SAVE Club from WHHS today. Students learned about the importance of including others and how making the effort to start with “hello” can make a big difference. Everyone who participated signed a pledge and helped create a chain that will be displayed in both schools 💙🤝

This week, the Save a Life Tour visited WHHS with equipment simulating the effects of texting and driving as well as drinking and driving. Through their high-tech simulators and VR experiences, students gained a powerful understanding of why they should avoid both.
